Alpine rock climbing at the Mt. Moloch Chalet
Ruedi likes to share the rare experience of climbing the most amazing alpine rock routes on purest granite, out of the remote Mt. Moloch Chalet, 50 kilometer northeast of Revelstoke B.C, in the northern Selkirk Mountains.
The alpine rock area, surrounding the Mt. Moloch Chalet is far from any logging road or highway. It is remote and represents a true Canadian alpine experience in a glaciated alpine paradise with high granite towers and walls, knife sharp granite ridges and towering alpine peaks. It is almost hard to belief that an alpine area of such high quality has no other visitors than you and your SME guide. Climbing the most rewarding alpine routes while staying at the nice and well-kept Mt. Moloch Chalet that is located on a rock knoll in the center of the most impressive glacial amphitheatre. A truly exclusive alpine holiday.
The Mt. Moloch area has a large variety of alpine climbs, ranging from simple glacier walks and easy ridge scrambles to the hardest alpine rock routes. In fact some of the rock routes are put up by the legendary American rock climber, Tommy Caldwell. One of his impressive rock routes is Redlight District, 5.14a. Of-course the area has numerous routes of any grade. With a total of 294 routes there is definitely plenty to do, whether easy routes, hard climbs, shorter cragging routes or long full day climbs.
All our programs run on a private guided basis. This means that we take a maximum of 2 guests per guide. The program dates and itinerary are not set. Depending on your personal goals, your guide will accommodate what ever is on your wish-list.
Quality alpine experience and truly professional service in both guiding and lodging is our prime goal.
